In recent days, Lenovo has unveiled the new ThinkPad S531 falls into the category of ultrabook dedicated to professional users. One of the main features is represented by the diagonal of the display that measures 15.6 inches, so this model can offer good usability even for extended work sessions. It unfortunately at the moment is not known that the display resolution should be at least 1,920×1,080 pixels some sources report the availability of a next version with full HD panel from July.
The construction of the new ThinkPad S531 incorporates the typical characteristics of the family: the chassis is grossed aluminum components and magnesium alloy. The surfaces are black or silver, and the keyboard is backlit. Internally the ultrabook is welded a quantity of 2GB of RAM, integrated with a further module SOODIM 8GB.
Unfortunately, for the moment, Lenovo ThinkPad S531 presented with an Intel Ivy Bridge, so we are faced with the most current Intel Haswell. The dimensions of the product obviously require some compromise in terms of weight this model exceeds 2.2 Kg but at the same time incorporates a battery from 62.8 Wh (for declared autonomy of 9 hours) and a numeric keypad.
Another oddity being a device called Ultrabook regards the storage device with a capacity of 500GB SSD but then it will not be the traditional type. Unfortunately, at present fail to provide further technical characteristics and also the dedicated page on the website of Lenovo models has several shortcomings. Some sources indicate a list price starting from $900 but there is no official confirmation.
