LG announces G Flex 2, Curved 5.5-inch display and Snapdragon 810
During the evening of yesterday, with an event held at the Las Vegas at CES 2015, LG has officially announced the new G Flex 2 with curved display P-OLED and the latest generation of Qualcomm processor.
Despite the high expectations given the high degree of novelty, LG G Flex did not have last year, the expected success and it seems that the sales of the first curved smartphone from LG have been well below the most optimistic prediction. These results have not yet discouraged LG that during this CES 2015 has officially announced a new smartphone with curved display and direct successor of the first G Flex.
We speak of course of LG G Flex 2 which is characterized by the specific top in a body design very similar to that of its predecessor. The new smartphone LG offers a curved display with P-OLED technology, cover Plastic-OLED, with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels and a diagonal measure 5.5 inches, thanks to which the pixel density reaches 403 dpi.
Within the body, we have a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor 810 and 64 bit operating frequency of 2GHz. The 2 GB of RAM DDR4, which allow a transfer of data significantly faster than traditional DDR3, present in most smartphones.
The memory dedicated to storage amounts to 16 or 32 GB depending on the version and in both cases, it is possible of the expansion of the same via microSD memory cards. The camera in the back of the smartphone is the same as LG G3 and offers a 13-megapixel sensor and optics stabilized. The front camera is 2.1 megapixels and no shortage NFC, Bluetooth, LTE Cat 6 and of course WiFi.
The operating system is Android, the latest version Lollipop, while the battery dowry offers a capacity of 3,000 mAh. LG G Flex 2 will be marketed from the end of January in Korea at a price yet to be determined. As for the other markets we believe it may take a few months in more.
