Logitech X100 Speaker – Compact and full of quality

On vacation, or at home, we often want to listen to a song or watch a movie on our device. We then discover the Logitech X100, a portable speaker with excellent quality.

Personally, I have always loved the chance to bring with me the accessories that allow me to enjoy my music as I would like better. They are a lover of headphones and speaker of good quality, can provide good performance at an affordable price.

So today we’re going to find a speaker that I was really amazed, both for its size and portability that derived for its excellent performance during audio playback. We’re talking about the Logitech X100 speaker, colorful and suitable, especially for youngsters.

Design and materials – The search for unity

We start by describing the main visual characteristics of this speaker. The design is very original, circular and slightly flattened, with a rubber coating that provides excellent grip when you hold it in your hand and an exceptional grip when you are standing on different surfaces, without that there is the risk that the vibrations are too strong it can cause movement during playback. Each model consists of components in two colors, one that characterizes the central part and one that instead plays circularly device.

 

I have not particularly enjoyed the different color combinations, but the one we got to try was rather apt and very pleasant. There is moreover, a small wire that fastens to the speaker and that the transportation in your hand or better still tied to some string.

On the boundary of the Logitech X100 are also two entrances, one for the AUX connection via 3.5mm jack classic and one for microUSB, dedicated to recharging. Finally, there 4 buttons, dedicated respectively to power on or off, increasing or lowering the volume and synchronization with other Bluetooth devices.

Audio Performance – Dual choice and a pleasant surprise

Going into detail and talking about the features of this product we cannot certainly be satisfied with the work done by Logitech. With the Logitech X100 speaker, we have the opportunity to make the connection to the devices via Bluetooth or simply through the classic AUX cable, which is not included in the package unlike that microUSB for charging that we fortunately found inside.

The combination is incredibly fast, and we hardly dips in signal if we take the two devices at a maximum distance of 10 meters. Some uncertainty, if we bring in more such as our smartphones into another room, where the reception suffers logically due to the partial shielding of the walls. Nothing that does not allow a full and enjoyable to use, indeed.

Obviously connecting the device with a cable you lose the remote control capabilities and a speaker phone that are usable and well managed via Bluetooth.

With the Logitech X100 speaker can also handle calls directly from the built-in microphone and speaker thanks to the buttons that can also be used to answer or end a call; during the conversation, you have no problem and the other party cannot hear very well our voices also to a meter away from the microphone.

What really surprised us is the quality and the high volume of this little speaker when we play a song or video in this case, because we are faced with many higher-quality products than competitors of the same size. Yes, it is true that the bass cannot be exceptional, but even during playback of song’s Pop or R&B not you have the feeling of using a product so small.

The highs are clear as well as the middle and can be appreciated with songs in which prevails the vocals or any instrument like the piano or the violin, faithfully reproduced in every hue. Even when we are in open places, we can drown out the noise around us, without running the risk of not being able to hear the first little background noise.

Battery – Difficult to put it on his knees

The autonomy of this mini speaker really surprised us, being able to dispel the fear that such a high volume could weigh much on the battery. Thanks to the module inside the Logitech X100 speaker, we cover several hours of continuous playback time (about 5 hours) and almost a day with heavy use and alternately. If instead we use once a day for a dozen minutes, we can safely forget to charge it, since it will last even a week.

There is the possibility of controlling the charging status, so we’ll have to rely on our impressions to decide when to charge it. A small flashing LED located under the speaker grille allows us instead to figure out when the battery is full. Overall, therefore, the range is about average, a little praise to Logitech for the excellent value-range power.

Logitech X100 Speaker – Conclusions

We come to the conclusions, we draw conclusions and to this end our review. The Logitech X100 speaker surprised us and proved beyond our expectations.

Personally, I did not expect a quality and volume so high in a product so small. Excellent opportunity to manage music and calls directly from the speaker as well as the choice of using this type of material, so adhering to surfaces, for its realization.
