Microsoft: Here is the new Surface Studio 2 and the Surface Headphones
The Redmond company also decided to update the beautiful All-in-One from the generous 28-inch touch display. Not only because the company presents noise-canceling headphones for the first time. Here are all the details.
Microsoft Surface Studio 2 is the new All-in-One of the Redmond company, already on the market for some years but now renewed with an update especially on the hardware side that allows the device, among the most beautiful on the market, to increase even more the performances and also the experience of use for the professionals.
But it is not all seen that next to this and the various Surface Pro 6 and Surface Laptop 2, Microsoft, surprisingly also presented the first Surface Headphones or the headphones marked Redmond with noise suppression but also a connection to Cortana. Here are all the details.
Microsoft Surface Studio 2: inside it’s all new
After about two years from the presentation of the first generation here is that Microsoft decides to renew, especially at the hardware level, it’s All-in-One that remains undoubtedly one of the most beautiful devices of this kind in the world.
Microsoft Surface Studio 2 sees a strongly futuristic design that does not change compared to its first generation and, fundamentally, it does not even need it since its operation based on the pendulum of the imposing 28-inch display makes Studio 2 functional in all kinds of situations.
The frame is an aluminum block with overall dimensions of 637.35 x 438.90 x 12.50 cm. for the display and 250 x 220 x 32.20 cm. for the base with a total weight of about 9.56 Kg. In terms of display, the new Surface Studio 2 is in possession of a renewed 28-inch PixelSense panel and a resolution of 4,500 x 3,000 pixels with a 3: 2 form factor.
A display designed and designed for graphics and in this, Microsoft has worked hard to make it as faithful as possible by increasing the brightness of 38% and a contrast of 22% compared to the previous generation.
Microsoft Surface Studio 2: Technical Specifications
At hardware level the new Surface Studio 2 has a seventh-generation Intel Core i7-7820HQ processor with a graphics card to be chosen from the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB GDDR5 and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB GDDR5. In addition to this, the new Studio 2 of Microsoft provides the ability to choose between versions with 16GB or 32GB of RAM and SSD for storage of 1 or 2 TB.
Recall how the new Studio 2 also has a 5MPx front camera that will allow you to have the face recognition for unlocking with Windows Hello but also for video calls in Full HD. In addition to this, there is also a double microphone in addition to the Stereo 2.1 Dolby Audio Premium speaker.
As far as connectivity is concerned, the Surface Studio 2 is equipped with Wi-Fi 802.11ac support, then Bluetooth 4.0 but also 4 USB 3.0 ports, an SDXC card reader and a USB-C port, a 3.5 mm jack and a Gigabit port. Clearly present also pre-installed Windows 10 Pro as well as the Surface Pen while the Surface Dial is not included in the sales package.

Surface Headphones: the headphones from Microsoft
An absolute novelty for Microsoft instead are the headphones made at home that are separated from what made by Apple with its AirPods since the new Surface Headphones are wireless headphones ” over ear ” and especially with the technology of active noise reduction. In terms of design, we are dealing with a product with a round pavilion and a light-gray color that basically incorporates the ” silver ” of the various Surface products.
Interesting technological aspect on noise reduction that can be adjusted by the user through the rotation of the ring on the left bonnet while in the right one hovers another ring that ensures the volume adjustment. A truly original and interesting solution that allows the user to have an immediate management of noise suppression.
For the rest, the new Microsoft headphones can be recharged via a simple USB port type C but also present a 3.5mm jack output for use in wired mode. Microphone clearly inserted in the right pavilion where there is also a button that ensures the suppression of this microphone or not.
For the reproduction of the pieces and above all the control of the same, it will be possible to use the ” touch ” panel on the surface of the right earphone where you can start or stop the song with a simple tap or even go to the next song.
Moreover, as soon as the headphones are removed from the head, the reproduction of the piece ceases instantly. Regarding autonomy, Microsoft said a time of 15 hours in use with Bluetooth.
