Microsoft Lumia 940 XL with Quad HD display and Snapdragon 810: all technical specifications
The next phablet flagship Microsoft has appeared on one page of GFXBench that reveals much of the technical specification. Among these there Quad HD display and SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 810.
A Windows Phone with the technical specifications of high-end apparently unknown appeared on GFXBench. It is likely that this is Lumia 940 XL, a device that according to rumors leaked in recent months will be announced to the public during the second half of 2015, together with the release of Windows 10 Mobile. The technical specifications of GFXBench confirm in part the rumor earlier.
The device carries the code name of RM-1100, other than the one we knew before (RM-1085). Hardware features read a Quad HD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor 810 octa-core processor, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage (the values reported are actually lower compared to past indiscretions). According to reports, the cameras are from 20 and 5 megapixels, as well as known from previous rumor.
Also in this case the values are slightly lower compared to the specific real, since GFXBench returns the resolution of the shot performed with aspect-ratio of 4:3. The resolutions are the same as those reported in Lumia 1520, which still incorporates a rear sensor 20 megapixel considering its aspect-ratio real. There are some difficult to explain discrepancies between specifications leaked today and those known for some time.
In the past, it was said that Lumia 940 XL was Cityman, prototype with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of integrated storage. According to new information, Microsoft could release two different models for storage and amount of system memory built in, as indeed it has already done on the family of the tablet Surface. Among the other technical characteristics, Lumia 940 XL could incorporate a USB Type-C, a battery 3,300 mAh and a scanner for analyzing the iris.
The device is expected to debut for the upcoming fall season, and only then can we dispel any doubt about the new highly anticipated flagship of Redmond.
