Misfit Vapor 2: The smartwatch with a clean design
Misfit Vapor 2 is the new smartwatch made by Fossil: it is a solution based on Google’s Wear OS, and Qualcomm Wear 2100 platform with heart rate and GPS detection. Here are the prices and availability.
Misfit Vapor 2 is the new smartwatch launched by Fossil (owner of the brand) that updates the characteristics of the previous Vapor bringing with it support to Wear OS, the sensor for heartbeat (through optical sensor) and the design that maintains decidedly sober lines and suitable for many types of users.
What changes with the new Misfit Vapor 2? To make it an even more complete product, we find the integrated GPS, different sizes for the cash desk and support for NFC technology (not available in all countries) for mobile payments. The front display uses a 328 PPI AMOLED panel while the connectivity includes Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
Like the previous model, Vapor (updated later), here too we find Wear OS and all the possibilities offered by the latest operating system for smartwatch of the Mountain View company. With Misfit Vapor 2 you can talk with Google Assistant, take advantage of the app store, receive notifications from your smartphone, use Google Fit to collect data such as steps, heartbeat, calories consumed and distance traveled.
The storage space of this Misfit Vapor 2 is 4 GB so you can take advantage of the integrated music player but also install the app. The battery, according to the manufacturer, should have a daily life thanks to the Snapdragon Wear 2100 platform. The charging takes place via the charging base (which uses a USB connector).
Attention has been paid by the company in the realization of the straps that have been made with different materials and design allowing the smartwatch to be combined with different garments (matching the boxes in rose gold, matt black and silver).
Thanks to the operating system there is also compatibility with Android (4.4 or higher, excluding Android Go versions) and with iOS (9.3 or higher) so as not to preclude the purchase to Apple users.
As written at the beginning of the news, Misfit Vapor 2 is available for the first time with two different sizes for the case: 41 mm and 46 mm, adapting itself to the best of both women’s and men’s wrists.
