Motorola announces Moto 360 second generation and Moto Sport 360
The smartwatch android wear more beautiful and distinctive of the last generation is updated with some new features in the design and operational autonomy, with a new model for sports enthusiasts care of your body.
Motorola brings two new smartwatch: Moto 360 second generation, following one of the most interesting devices of the category, and Moto 360 Sport. Both models will be sold later this year with prices confirmed for the traditional variant.
We start from the new Moto 360 which now has more accurate sensors for fitness and a slightly revised design. The aesthetic is substantially similar to a lot of successful predecessor, and is maintained in the appendix plastic display that slightly distorts its circular shape. This is not a perfect circle as on other models, but according to Motorola it is a necessary compromise.
Appendix fact serves to keep the screen-to-body ratio of 71%, higher than other competing products and more in line with the aesthetics of traditional watches. On design, Motorola has paid particular attention to the aspect of customization, with two models of 42 and 46 mm diameter. The device can be customized via Moto Maker, choosing from a variety of materials, additional frames, straps and colors of various shapes.
The small crown side is moved in the vicinity of 2 hours, while introduces two tabs for quick installation of additional straps. Are currently lacking detailed information on hardware components and integrated SoC: we know there will be a heart-rate monitor, support for Wi-Fi and wireless charging and a battery capable of offering two days of battery life on a single charge.
According to leaked information, the model will have a unit from 42mm 275mAh, while the larger model will leverage from a 375mAh. The new Motorola Moto 360 will be offered at prices from $ 299 to 429 depending on the chosen configuration, with pre-orders launched on September 3 in the United States.
Alongside the new Moto 360, owned by the American company, Lenovo has announced a new model altogether: Moto 360 Sport. It is a more basic version of the traditional model with characteristics magazines to be more effective in sports fields: for example, has silicone straps, a display AnyLight Hybrid more readable in the sun, an integrated GPS module and supports for listening to music too offline. Like the standard model, Moto 360 Sport is IP67 certified, but the use is not recommended while swimming.
We have not information about prices and availability of the sports model, which should still get into one format before the end of the year.
