MSI GE66 Raider, GE66 Stealth and Creator 17 with the new Intel Core CPU
The new 10th generation Intel Core H series processors invade the range of MSI laptops, including gaming solutions, and for content creators. In particular, here are three new features: GE66 Raider, GE66 Stealth, and Creator 17.
MSI has announced GE66 Raider, GE66 Stealth, and Creator 17, three new laptops equipped with the 10th generation Intel Core CPU of the H series. The first two are gaming laptops, with the thinnest Stealth, while the third model is dedicated to content creators for works on the photo, video, and audio editing.
From the technical specification point of view, MSI GE66 Raider and MSI GE66 Stealth arrive on the market with a very similar configuration extension. They can mount CPUs up to the Core i9-10980HK, GPU up to the new RTX 2080 SUPER Max-Q, DDR4-2666 memory up to 32 GB (expandable up to 64 GB by the user) and an NVMe SSD up to 1 TB.
Both laptops have a 15.6-inch Full HD screen with a response time of 3 milliseconds and different options regarding the refresh rate that goes up to 300 MHz. Both have a 99.9 Whr battery. The starting price is $1,799 and $1,499. The difference between the two is practically stylistic and affects the number of doors. MSI will ” play ” with the configurations so as not to create too many overlaps.
MSI Creator 17 instead focuses on a Core i7-10875H processor, and compared to the two models will arrive in versions with NVMe SSD up to 2 TB. The screen is larger, it is a 17.3-inch, available in mini LED HDR1000 version with 4K resolution or IPS Full HD 144 Hz. The battery is 82 Whr, and the starting price is $1,799.
Obviously, in this case, the mini LED screen stands out, which offers a high brightness for viewing and producing HDR content and should not present the burn-in problem manifested by the classic OLED. By the way, all Creators 17 have a factory-calibrated screen with CalMAN. MSI also claims to have paid particular attention to the keyboard, with a special character and function keys dedicated to microphone control and basic photo editing.
Finally, MSI makes it known that it will also bring the new Intel CPU to be other already known models such as GT76 Titan, GS75 Stealth, GE75 Raider, GP75 Leopard, GL75 Leopard, GF75 Thin and GF65/GF63 Thin.
