MSI Optix MAG301CR, a new gaming monitor with 200 Hz refresh rate
MSI presented the new Optix MAG301CR gaming monitor, a 30-inch solution with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,080 pixels and a maximum refresh rate of 200 Hz. It also supports FreeSync.
MSI has announced the new Optix MAG301CR, a 30-inch curved 21:9 monitor with 2,560 x 1,080 pixels resolution, refresh rate up to 200 Hz, and a response time of 1 millisecond. The monitor has a VA panel with a contrast ratio of 3,000:1 – MSI calls it HDR Ready – and supports AMD FreeSync technology.
The monitor offers viewing angles of 178 degrees horizontally and vertically, and also supports 98% of the DCI-P3 color space and 127% of the sRGB color space. The monitor is tilting, rotatable, and can also be placed vertically (pivot mode). It can also be adjusted in height.
Like other similar MSI products, the monitor supports Mystic Light lighting via a circular ring on the back. The monitor is equipped with a USB 3.2 Gen1 Type B, two USB 3.2 Gen1 Type A, a DisplayPort 1.2a, two HDMI 2.0b, a headphone output, and a USB Type C for charging other devices. At the moment, MSI is not communicating the price of this MSI Optix MAG301CR but should be positioned between $300 and $400.
