At CES Canon has introduced several devices for the photographic world. We begin to talk to about two new bridges that are called compact PowerShot SX540 HS and PowerShot SX420 IS, updates to models already in the list.
Canon advantage of CES to present two new compact superzoom bridge cameras: PowerShot SX540 HS and PowerShot SX420 IS, which replace the PowerShot SX530 HS and PowerShot SX410 IS. Let’s look at the features of each product, starting from the cheaper of the two, namely the PowerShot SX420 IS.
Canon PowerShot SX420 IS features a view stabilized able to respond to a wide range of needs, thanks to the potential in terms of wide-angle zoom: we are facing a maximum magnification optical of 42x, but to better understand the Focal corresponding in the full-size range from 24 mm to 1,008 mm.
If the zoom very thorough’re used to, at least for the bridge cameras, confirmed the need to expand the potential for wide angle, it becomes really interesting in this case. If you have your eye on the APS-C / DX, we are in the order of 15-16mm equivalent, in reference to systems Nikon / Canon.
No shortage of technologies Wi-Fi and NFC for the transfer of images, as well as the ability to shoot video but stop at 720p MP4. The display on the back has a diagonal of 3 inches and is characterized by the presence of about 230,000 pixels, while as regards the sensor, we find a 20 Mpixel coupled to image processor DIGIC 4.
You level with the PowerShot SX540 HS starting from optics. We find the potential wide-angle views with the PowerShot SX420 IS described above, but it goes up to 50X zoom, bringing the extension exploitable between 24 mm and 1200 mm when compared to full size.
Canon highlights for this device very good performance at high ISO, possible thanks to the adoption of a whole new sensor from 20.9 Mpixel CMOS combined with excellent image processor DIGIC 6, far better performance than the DIGIC 4+.
Granted the presence of Wi-Fi connectivity and NFC, unless the potential videos: you level than the IS model, because you can shoot scenes up to 1080p at 60 frames per second, using the MP4 format with stereo sound.
To signal the presence of assistance systems into the scene more automatic functions and optimizations for the captured images. Both models will be available from February 2016.
