” Nikon updates the line 7000 presenting the new SLR D7200, an update of the model D7100 from different points of view, not least the absence of the low-pass filter and processor EXPEED 4 “. News from Nikon, with the presentation of the SLR D7200 for fans looking for a complete solution and convincing without going in the field of far more expensive full-frame.
Between the current Nikon D7100 and the newly Nikon D7200 differences seem few and minimum, but if added together they constitute an interesting update from different points of view.
It starts from the sensor, almost unchanged in the resolution, 24.2 Mpixel (ISO 100 – 25,600) as that of the Nikon D5300, the Nikon D7100 against 24.1 Mpixel, who loses the low-pass filter as the recent trend in the world and not just reflex. New generation is also the autofocus module that keeps the 51 points of focus as the Nikon D7100, but earns operation in dim light, until -3EV, inheriting facto technologies views for now only on FX house.
Another new feature consists of a buffer larger, since you can now take 18 consecutive shots in RAW 14-bit lossless, 27 to 12-bit or 100 in jpeg format. The rate of release is a maximum of 6 fps who switch to 7 fps in Crop Mode 1.3x. Buffer bigger aside, the renewed potential is guaranteed by the use of image processing EXPEED 4 (was EXPEED 3 on D7100), which allows to speed up the 30% all the processes involved before and after shooting. Also, thanks to Nikon EXPEED 4 promises greater dynamic range and a much faster and accurate autofocus, borrowed equipment from higher-ranking.
Nikon D7200 borrows from Nikon D810 and Nikon D750 good part of the potential video: now it is possible to shoot in full HD 1080 30/25/24p in uncompressed mode, going to 1080 60/50p in Crop Mode 1.3x. Auto ISO is now also available in manual mode, so you never have to take action on the fly during opening times and video to compensate for changes in light and help in this regard are the classic ” zebra stripes “.
The stereo microphone is now adjustable to 20 levels of sensitivity. The Nikon D7200 is the first reflex DX / APS-C to make available a particular Time Lapse Mode, which automates the exposure conditions such as at sunset.
Also integrated Wi-Fi and NFC, the latter useful for example, to transfer shots directly on your smartphone (provided it is in turn equipped with NFC connectivity). The new born has a lower weight than the model it replaces, 675 grams against 765, while the range goes up to 1100 shots against 950, which probably contributes the latest image processor that consumes less, being the identical battery. The shell is made of magnesium alloy and are obviously confirmed the already excellent sealing characteristics to water splashes and dust.
The prices are not yet available (Nikon D7200 will come in April), but we have those taken by the US DPReview: only body we speak of a street price of $ 1,199.95, rising to $ 1,699.95 if purchased in a kit with the AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-140mm f / 3.5-5.6G ED VR. Obviously all indicative, to be taken as a reference refers to a very rough model fresh presentation.
