Olympus introduces two new compact very different from the soul: Olympus Stylus 1S is a premium compact with 10.7x zoom and aspect to mirrorless while Stylus Tough TG-4 is a rugged suited to taking in all weather conditions, even at 15 meters under water.
Olympus has put into the pot two new compact profoundly different from the soul: Olympus Stylus 1S and Stylus Tough 4. The first is a premium compact with illuminated CMOS sensor 1/1.7 ” (7.3 x 5.5 mm) Accredited 12-megapixel resolution and optical zoom with F2.8 constant stabilized 28-300 mm equivalent focal and 10.7x.
It offers ergonomics from mirrorless, but contains approximately 56mm in thickness, while adopting an electronic viewfinder 1.44 million pixels and a swiveling display touch screen 3″, it also 1.44 million points. Heir of the previous model has a ring on your thumb and concentric to the lens barrel, to assign your favorite function.
Equipped with RAW support, ISO 100-12,800 range and to 7 fps, burst naturally brings with it also the Art Filter, trademark home Olympus. In addition to the pop-up flash also offers sleigh for Speedlights. From the point of view, offers support 1080p video at 30 fps. Then there are the Wi-Fi connectivity for instant sharing of the shots, even with remote control via smartphone.
It is instead a compact rugged the new Olympus Stylus Tough TG-4: in this case the sensor is 1/2.3 ” and offers 16-megapixel resolution, while the zoom (not protruding) is characterized by excursion 4x, with equivalent focal 25-100. Interesting feature optics opening F2 to minimum focus, but soon falls to f/4.9 by extending the zoom. It is a machine devoted to strength, able to go underwater up to 15 meters, work temperatures of -10° C, falling from heights of 2.1 meters and withstand 100 KG weight without blinking.
Also in this case the support arrives at the video format Full HD 1080p, while from the point of view provides photographic mode dedicated to underwater locations, one of which has support HDR. Also on this machine we find the Wi-Fi connectivity with remote control via app on smartphones, while one of its features is the integration of GPS and electronic compass, with information on pressure and altitude. There are also the Art Filter, but even RAW support, very useful, for example, to get the best shots when shooting underwater if you have not set the best image parameters.
