New Outlook app for iOS and Android signed Microsoft

Acquisition of Acompli Microsoft has obtained a new app called Outlook intention to replace the alternative solutions already available today.

The first comments on the net about this app are very positive. It is available from a few days a new version of Outlook dedicated to operating systems iOS and Android.

This new app for Android and intended to replace Outlook.com Outlook Web App (OWA) for iOS and Android. For some time OWA will remain available because Outlook does not yet guarantee support for some features of Exchange Server and Office 365.

The layout of the app is able to fit the size of the display and running Outlook on iPhone we will have a specific arrangement of the instruments, and then start the same app on the iPad we can benefit from the display of a box of preview files and a vision overview of the calendar.

Outlook for iOS and Android is able to manage calendar and mail also offering an automatic mode filter that separates email priority from others of less importance. This filter is able to learn from the user’s habits thus discriminating the nature of the messages. Since this is an app designed for touch devices are obviously supported the gesture: with simple gestures, you can open messages, catalog them, postpone reading and reorganize their inbox.

The minimum requirements set by Microsoft for this app include the use of operating systems iOS 8.0 and Android 4.0. The new app is the first result of Outlook evident following the acquisition of Acompli and those who already know this app will notice that Microsoft has done little more than a rebrand.
