New professional hexacopter for Yuneec: here is H520, even with Sony camera
The latest addition to the Asian manufacturer Yuneec, the H520 radio-controlled aircraft, born for high-end commercial applications in areas such as public safety, construction, inspections and video production, belongs to the family of professional helicopters.
The drone market has had a decisive expansion in recent years: now it goes from small toy quadcopter that are in the palm of a hand, up to the hexacopter able to transport several kilograms of cargo.
The Chinese are leading the group worldwide: if DJI is a brand that has managed to make itself known to the general public, Yuneec is a fierce competitor. Born with radio-controlled model airplanes, the brand has also been active in the electric-powered para glider market, presenting an electric aircraft in 2009, but arrived in volume production.
Today its main market is that of drones (in 2015, Intel had invested in the company 60 million dollars to start a collaboration for the development of its drones) with products ranging from small quadcopters up to professional aircraft with six rotors.
To this family belongs also the latest news of the Asian manufacturer, the Yuneec H520 radio-controlled aircraft, born for high-end commercial applications in areas such as public safety, construction, inspections and video production.
For this purpose, the Yuneec H520 hexacopter is available with both the high-resolution E90 camera and the E50 inspection camera, the CGOET thermal imaging camera and residual light (H520 version), which can be pre-ordered and will be available soon.
E90 is a camera with a 1-inch Sony Exmor sensor, 20 megapixel resolution and 23mm f/2.8 wide-angle lens and is mounted on a motorized card an head, with the possibility of rotating 360°.
The Yuneec H520 is equipped with a professional radio remote control ST16S based on Android platform, equipped with integrated 7-inch screen, 720 HD video downlink for real-time reception and HDMI uplink for distribution to external monitors.
