Microsoft has removed some restrictions regarding the installation of Office on Android devices: the aim is to increase the number of testers.
From time, Microsoft has released Office for Android devices: with a program dedicated, users had the opportunity to register and download the app you want. Now the situation has changed and Office for Android passes in the status of ” testing “, which is still under development but available to anyone.
The code is then downloaded from Google Play and unstable on any device with a display of at least 7 inches diagonally and Android Kitkat or lollipop. Were then removed previous limitations on the need to enroll in a specific program and then subsequently receive the option to install the application.
The purpose of Microsoft is quite clear: now the number of users of this app will increase quickly and consequently also increase the feedback, to the benefit of future final release the availability of which there are no details.
It may seem counterintuitive Microsoft’s commitment to a competitive platform, but for the Redmond, the fleet Android represents an important opportunity: from such devices with Office will be able to be used also other online services, some of which are offered to payment.
