After the Founders Edition version of Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 video card, come the variations of individual producers. ASUS, MSI, EVGA and Zotac have already raised the curtain on custom versions of the new offering performance video cards based on Pascal graphics processor.
After starting the commercialization of the Founders Edition version of the powerful new NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 video card, individual producers have raised the curtain on their own custom versions. Specifically, recently, ASUS, EVGA, MSI and ZOTAC have announced revised and corrected versions of the high-end Nvidia GPU, which differ from the Founders Edition version for cooling systems, and PCB levels overclock higher or lower, depending on the models.
ASUS
ASUS presented the ROG Strix GTX 1080 card that improves the already high performance of the Founders Edition version with a factory overclock leading the CPU frequency up to 1,898 MHz in Gaming Mode and up to 1,936 MHz OC mode.
The extra performance, underlines, Asus translate into an increase of about 6.5% recorded in 3D Mark benchmarks (tests Fire Strike Extreme) and a 7.4% with the Hitman videogame.
ASUS has placed particular care in the realization of the DirectCU III thermal design with Triple-Wing Blade 0 dB fan. It does not lack attention to aesthetics with the integration of the Aura RGB lighting system.
ASUS provides two different card variants which differ due to the different of the processor operating frequency. They report to follow the statement with the main technical characteristics:

EVGA
The custom version of EVGA is represented by GeForce GTX 1080 ACX 3.0 that will comes in four variants, including the ” basic ” version and Superclocked, FTW and Classified (product not yet active). To differentiate the various models involved the operation of the CPU frequency, the power system (14 and 10 respectively in phases Classified variant FTW) and RGB lighting.
All custom variants EVGA integrate the dual fan cooling system ACX 3.0 which improves the contact area of the copper base and introduces an optimization of the fans in the activation curve to contain noise. The Classified version and provide the FTW, also, the LED RGB lighting system. Price and date of availability have not yet been reported.

MSI
MSI offers a particularly articulated, based on four models, each geared to a specific target audience, two of which (the GTX 1080 ARMORand GTX AERO 8G) also available in version OC. It starts with the version GTX 1080 Gaming X 8G, characterized by the unmistakable sink Twin Frozr VI TORX fans, further improved and that will produce a higher air pressure of 22%, without compromising the look the noise. also redesigned the copper base that transfers heat to the fans via heatpipes 8mm. Rounding out the picture, the new thermal paste and passive memory heatsinks and redesigned VRM.
The MSI GeForce GTX 1080 SEA HAWK is characterized by the presence of a liquid cooling system, developed in collaboration with Corsair. Integrates a Hydro Series heatsink that combines, according to the company, excellent performance in terms of heat dissipation and ” a record-breaking noise level “.
It returns to a fully cooling system based on fans with the MSI GeForce GTX 1080 ARMOR 8G OC (link the product page). The ARMOR 2X sink, characterized by black and white design, uses two TORX fans derived from the Twin Frozr V cooler; The card is also equipped with MSI Zero Frozr technology that blocks the vents when the system the use of passive cooling deemed sufficient to keep operating temperatures within an optimum range.
The latest model is the MSI GeForce GTX 1080 AERO 8G OC (link product), characterized by a dissipation system based on a single radial fan that pushes the hot air through the heat sink, and then expel it outside of homes. And the MSI tab of the group with the most similar design to that of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Founder Edition.
