In any case OneDrive, formerly known as SkyDrive, raises once again, by lowering prices and offering 70% more free space: 15GB free for all, while Office 365 users will be entitled to 1TB of cloud space.
Directly from Microsoft’s official blog devoted to arrive OneDrive good news for lovers of cloud storage. Starting today, Microsoft will begin offering 15 GB of free storage for users OneDrive, rather than 7GB.
In this way, Microsoft launches again the gauntlet to Google Drive cloud storage service in Mountain View, which offers up to 15 GB free space. In addition, within the next month, users of Office 365 will have 1TB of free space, up from the previous 20GB.
Beyond the new thresholds of free space available for the users, Microsoft has revised downwards the price lists relating to monthly plans. The new prices indicate the figure of $ 1.99 to $ 3.99 for 100GB and 200GB, while previously, for the same space were needed, respectively, 7.49 and $ 11.49.
The company has also decided to delete the 50GB monthly plan, in consideration of the fact that with the new prices, the fee would have a really ridiculous cost of just 25 cents per month. How many are already using OneDrive or Office 365 will automatically see their storage limits go up to the maximum listed above, as well as subscribers will see the monthly decrease. In other words, the offer is not restricted only to new users.
