Yesterday Microsoft has released a major update for OneNote for the iPhone. The new version, 2.2.1 to be precise, introduces several, new and important, both as regards the UI for both functionalities.
OneNote for the iPhone, it now has a new layout, now fully in line with the design of iOS 7 and that of OneNote for iPad.
Microsoft has also added support to Office Lens, through which you can scan paper documents, the ability to create notebooks and tabs for the sections. Here’s the official changelog :
- Attractive design for iOS7 – OneNote has a new and attractive design ideal for iOS 7 and the size of the app has been reduced by approximately 20%.
- Section tabs – Now you can create, rename and delete sections quickly.
- Office Lens – Office Lens transforms into a scanner OneNote always available. Simply photograph a document or whiteboard and Office Lens crops, optimizes and adds the image to the notes. It’s easy.
- Quick Notes – You need to jot down something? No problem. To use quick notes just a touch. You just have to look for the sign in the lower-right corner.
- Create notebooks – As requested by many users, you can now create as many notebooks as you need.
The news does not end there Simultaneously, with OneNote for iPhone, Microsoft has added several new features to the version for OS X is available on the Mac App Store since last March 18. Here is the list of what is new in version 15.1 :
- Print – You must print the notes or a list of tasks? Now you can do that thanks to OneNote for Mac can also save notes in PDF format.
- Copy images easily – You can drag images from Web sites or other locations in the device Mac and drop them directly into your notes.
