The new OnePlus 5T is finally official. A new device presented by the Chinese company at a distance of only 5 months from the presentation of the previous version or OnePlus 5. The company considers the evolution of full-screen displays as a reason to offer its users a new generation of its top of the range and so in a major media event in that of New York here presented the new OnePlus 5T ready to compete in all respects with the smartphone of the competition.
The company has stated that it is constantly working to improve the user experience and continuously improve its products from generation to generation. This is because it knows that OnePlus users are among the most discerning but also technology experts in the world and must have a device that is always up-to-date with the latest technology.
OnePlus 5T adds functionality, design optimizations, but also hardware advances based on user and community feedback. This approach has guided the development of the new OnePlus 5T that the Chinese company declares the most complete and competitive ever.
The design remains similar to what was seen with the previous generation of OnePlus 5. A completely aluminum body without cuts in order to allow a better grip on the part of users. There are three coatings that allow you to get the Midnight Black color of the new OnePlus device applied with a thickness of only 14 microns.
Each OnePlus 5T is subjected to two sandblasting treatments capable of exalting a luminous and subtle shine. Also interesting is the presence of an anti-fingerprint level that keeps the device always clean even after use.
At a technical level, the most important change in the new OnePlus 5T is undoubtedly the display. OnePlus 5T marks the introduction of an AMOLED Full Optic panel with an aspect ratio of 18: 9, clearly capable of expanding the user experience while maintaining a non-exaggerated size and a screen ratio with the body of 80.5 %.
The panel is 6.01 inches and to ensure the front design the company decided to move the sensor on the back of the fingerprint that remains fast with a release of 0.2 seconds and above all with a ceramic coating. Plus OnePlus 5T adds Apple’s face recognition release to the fashionable FaceID.
Another major change comes from the OnePlus 5T camera that has improvements in low-light conditions OnePlus 5T features the same main camera as OnePlus 5, but the company has replaced the telephoto lens with one with a larger focal aperture of f/1.7.
In this case, we will have a double 20MP+16MP cameras. In low-light conditions, under 10 lux, OnePlus 5T will get an improvement in the images taken, at least from what OnePlus showed during the event.
The new OnePlus 5T secondary camera is also equipped with Intelligent Pixel technology, implemented for the first time on the OnePlus 3T front cam.
For the front camera, on the other hand, a 16MP sensor with a f/2.0 focal aperture was used. As for video, the dual rear camera will clearly allow recording up to 4K at 30 fps with Slow Motion at 720p. and 120fps.
As for the other technical specifications, the new OnePlus 5T remains virtually identical to what was seen with the previous generation and sees the presence of a processor identical to what was seen for OnePlus 5 Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 accompanied up to 8GB of RAM. A quantity that will allow OnePlus 5T to be used even in situations of extreme stress with a large number of applications in the background.
