Opera GX is the first gaming browser
Opera GX is an unexpected announcement of E3 2019. It is a gaming browser, or rather a version of the famous browser designed for users who like to customize each element.
On the occasion of E3, Opera has released what is called the ” first gaming browser in the world “, a version of the same Opera that we all already know custom to tickle the interest of gamers. This is a fairly questionable approach, in our opinion, there are some gems that could be of particular interest to those who like to customize every single element on their PC.
Its name is Opera GX, and one of the fundamental innovations compared to the standard version is a panel within which it is even possible to set the limits of use of the CPU and RAM. An interesting modification to limit what is a tendency of several of the browsers present in circulation, that is to say, to request an oversized number of resources compared to those that are the real supposed needs of the sites.
The possibility to set the limits on consumption is interesting above all for a fairly sophisticated user who knows where he is going to get his hands, it can be useful in different contexts: for example: for those who play in multi-monitor or multi-window and keep active a window with a browser could find advantages through this mode granted by Opera GX. At any time, the panel shows how many resources are used in real time.
In the new browser there are also other additions related to the gaming world: for example, the new main screen shows active offers on video games and gaming peripherals, technologies, news from the world of entertainment in the broad sense and as happens in the standard version of Opera, the browser has a permanent bar on the left side of the screen for quick access to various settings and services.
On Opera GX the bar has been slightly modified to include a new panel with quick access to the Twitch channel accounts followed, with the possibility of receiving a notification when starting a live one. It’s a gaming product, so you can’t miss the possibility to customize the theme (lighting, in other words): by default, the main colors are red and black, but you can customize everything as you like.
