Oppo R9 and Oppo R9 Plus official: Beautiful, but the design knows already seen
After several rumors leaked in recent weeks, Oppo has finally announced the new top of the range for 2016: R1 and R1 Plus, both with a not entirely original design.
In field Oppo smartphone it is not a well-known brand in Europe. We appreciate especially with regard to home entertainment, but in China is well on the square in front of the smartphone.
During 2015, the company was the eighth concerning sales volumes in the Asian country, selling more than 50 million devices and overcoming giants such as Sony, BlackBerry and Microsoft. In the past few hours, Oppo has presented its new top of the range.
Let’s talk about Oppo R9 and Oppo R9 Plus, smartphones in terms of design – not hide – look very much, perhaps too much, to iPhone 6/6S and iPhone 6S Plus. The surprising (although we knew already from the rumor) and leaves a little bitter taste in the mouth, since often Oppo had become known for high-quality productions and extremely personal (remember positively Oppo N1).
There are many similarities between the models of the two companies: the curved edges without interruption, the bands for the antennas and the arrangement of keys.
The two models are different from each other for certain technical and size choices: Oppo R9 adopts a 5.5″ display with Full HD resolution and is characterized by the presence of MediaTek Helio P10 processor, true octa-core Cortex-A53 in 64-bit 2GHz.
The CPU is supported by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of integrated storage that can be expanded through additional external memory cards. the two cameras are from 16 and 13 megapixels, the first with PDAF, while the battery is by 2,850 mAh.
The older brother, Oppo R9 Plus, instead boasts more pronounced size, almost elephantine. The display is 6″ with support for full HD resolution, while under the body, we find a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 octa-core configuration in four core Cortex-A72 and four Cortex-A53.
The Plus version is made up of two different models, the first one with 64GB of integrated storage, the second with 128GB of storage space. Both have 4GB of RAM.
The two cameras are both 16 megapixel, but only the main uses a Sony IMX298 with auto-focus phase detection and f/2.0 sensor. To feed all we will find instead a 4.120mAh battery. Oppo R9 and Oppo R9 Plus are respectively 6.6 and 7.4 mm thick and weigh just 145 and 185g, not too many considering the tonnage of the two terminals. Both are based on the proprietary customization of Android OS 3.0 Color and feature VOOC technology for rapid charging.

The two new top of the range will arrive in Italy? Hard to say, but even if they did in the current version of the user experience would be compromised by a support for LTE bands not up. The only 4G-LTE FDD bands compatible are the number 1, 3 and 5, not sufficient for effectively engage to the signal present in our country.
At the time Oppo Oppo R9 and R9 Plus were announced exclusively for the Chinese market, at a price of respectively 2,799 and 3,299 yuan (for the 64GB version).
