If you have downloaded the public beta of Yosemite, you are aware of the fact that it will have some bugs. Apple lists a well-known someone, even if others do not notice (and dangerous) may appear in the course of use.
Yosemite Beta Bugs are the norm, and if you find yourself faced with a problem, you should not amaze you. Being an operating system still in the development phase, it is the rule and not the exception.
Some of the bugs are still hidden and the testing phase will serve to bring them to light, some are already known and listed by Apple, and they must be taken into account. Here they are, as they appear in a ” readme ” issued by the operating system.
1.) Safari may crash when playing some content from Netflix.
2.) Aperture 3.5.1 and iPhoto 9.5.1 are required for Yosemite.
3.) You need to upgrade: When you go into edit mode in iPhoto, you might be shown a black screen instead of the photo; Photo Sharing and iCloud Photo Stream may not work properly when iPhoto and Aperture are installed.
4.) iCloud Drive may appear blank in the Finder after the first set up. The reboot solves this problem; Airdrop may not show the Mac in the vicinity.
5.) Sending and files to another Mac via AirDrop will not work.
As mentioned many other bugs may arise in the course of normal use, to the experiences of other users who are experimenting with it. On the other hand the public release of the beta has just this purpose: to expand the user base to increase the number of configurations and ” eyes ” are able to find problems, improving the quality of the operating system.
If you have decided to download Yosemite Beta, to avoid any risk, we guide you to installation on machines not used for critical tasks and to follow this guide.
