Introduced the new Panasonic Lumix GX7, Micro 4/3 GF1 and GX1 heir of the historic, retro style and equipped with an electronic viewfinder adjustable. It will be available from September from $999.
The Panasonic Lumix GX7 has officially made its appearance: After the rumors in recent days, the Japanese company has officially unveiled the successor to the acclaimed GX1 and GF1.
The new Panasonic Lumix GX7 offers a retro design, in line with the market trend to want to rediscover the style of old rangefinder cameras, but reworking the lines and volumes are already established during the past, such as the Panasonic L1 DSLR.
The most interesting, in addition to the 3-inch touch screen, is the presence of an electronic viewfinder, positioned laterally as in rangefinder cameras, and swivels, 90 degrees for maximum versatility of composition.
Inside lies a new sensor Micro 4/3 16 mega pixel, an image stabilizer lens compatible with any Micro 4/3, NFC and Wi-Fi connectivity, focus peaking feature, video capture up to 1080p and up to 60p and built-in pop up flash.
In particular, the new sensor Micro 4/3, Panasonic Lumix GX7 should be able to improve the performance of the dynamic range, color rendition and shots at high ISO, up to 25,600. Available in two separate dials to control aperture and shutter speed and various manual controls for fans.
The new Panasonic Lumix GX7 will be available this September at a suggested retail price of $999. Price will go up to $1,099 with lens 14.42mm. A price in line with that of the recent Olympus OM-D EM-5, of which the new Lumix GX7 can be considered a direct competitor and cool representative of the Lumix G series.
