Polaroid Originals presents OneStep 2: The queen is back
There is little to do, if you think about instant photography, you think of just one name: Polaroid. With the advent of digital, we forgot how nice it was to see the photo we just captured in our hands. And when we passed the person to us near to share an emotion, not an emoticon.
But the seasons are back, the modes go and go, and in recent months, the boom of instant cameras has been amazing. To take advantage of it in the right way was mainly Fujifilm, who believed in us well in advance and created a varied range and good quality.
There have also been attempts to blend the instant camera with the printing, bypassing the traditional analog process, but they did not like it. Some time ago, The Impossible Project acquired and rescued the latest active Polaroid film factory and then presented its own compatible flash camera: Impossible I-1.
This year, the company’s largest shareholder also acquired the Polaroid brand and created the opportunity to complete the mission impossible. Polaroid Originals is the new brand that is born today to celebrate the eighteenth anniversary of the foundation of the company and presents OneStep 2.
This is one of the greatest icons of pop that has been able to influence the art world (Andy Warhol and Helmut Newton come to mind, so to name a few) and claim a rightful role, you could to say. In fact, when it comes to technology and photography, there is nothing to expect, so only time will tell, but in the meantime OneStep 2 is here.
Already pre-orderable on the dedicated minisite for $99 in white and graphite colors. OneStep 2 is a direct heir to that of 1977 that was the same name and is an all-in-one analogue camera, not like Snap.
