Upgrading the range of external SSD by Samsung, who presented the new unit T3 Portable SSD equipped with the connection port USB 3.1 Type-C. Obviously, it is not a replacement of the model Portable SSD T1 USB 3.0, but of a tiling.
Samsung, at the CES in Las Vegas, has presented a new external SSD that goes by the name of Portable SSD T3. The more informed the abbreviation will not sound completely new, we are dealing with a unit that is in some ways similar to Portable SSD T1, launched a few months ago. The abbreviation, for both models, says a lot: Solid-State Drive portable external, but to change are different details as well as the capacities available.
The first innovation that distinguishes Samsung Portable SSD T3 is the adoption of USB 3.1 Type-C interface for systems, then going to offer himself as a very fast storage solution for those who only have one port on your computer and do not want to have to middle adapter cables (one example are the owners of Apple’s latest MacBook). The new external SSD also gains a metal chassis (with the T1 was plastic), as well as cuts very interesting in terms of GB.
It starts from 250 GB pass for 500 GB, 1 TB and 2 TB going until well, all with the ability to activate the 256-bit AES hardware encryption for enhanced data security. Samsung has seen fit to offer comes with a converter cable USB Type-C and Type-A (the ” normal ” ), so that everyone can use the unit regardless of owning a system with USB Type-C or not.
No shortage of typical technologies of Samsung SSD as TurboWrite technology and the use of NAND flash chips 3D; the performances are in the order of 450MB per second read and write, with a shock resistance of 1500G (then very much). They will arrive in February, at a price which we assume to be not just for everyone.
- Portable Design with Internal SSD-level Performance
- Superfast Read-Write Speeds of up to 450 MB/s
