SilverStone MS09C, Convert your M.2 SSDs to USB 3.1 Drive
Thanks to this original case it will be possible to bring with it a sort of USB flash drive, equipped with an SSD M.2-2280 and based on USB 3.1 gen 2 standards.
SilverStone has presented a new adapter dedicated to the world of SSD M.2 in order to make available for their extreme speed of data transfer and capacity even in a portable format: more precisely we speak of the SST-MS09C, an aluminum case designed to accommodate the inside it the PCB of a M.2 B-key SSD and its interface.
In fact, thanks to this original case it will be possible to bring with it a sort of USB flash drive, equipped with an SSD M.2-2260 or 2280 and based on USB 3.1 gen 2 standards; the controller that we find on board is VIA Labs VL715, which theoretically guarantees a data transfer rate of 10 Gbps.
It is not possible to install M-key PCIe and NVMe units but only SATA units, the external dimensions of the adapter are 4.3 x 1 x 0.3 inches, with an empty weight of about 1.6 ounces, USB 3.1 connector is type A and mechanically retractable thanks a slide present in the back of the unit; the manufacturer is not revealing availability and prices at the moment.
