Compatibility with chassis form factor mini ITX is pushing the video card manufacturers to produce models that combine small size with a high computing power.
There is much interest from the video card manufacturers to design products that are characterized by very small overall size, while maintaining a high total computing power. Cards of this type are easy placement in home format compatible mini ITX, allowing systems to assemble even for gamers that although small are able to ensure a high frames per second.
The last in order of time to announce a product of this type is the Taiwanese Gigabyte: the GV-N960IXOC-2GD, based on NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960, is characterized by a length of only 18.1 cm.
The Gigabyte GTX 960 Mini specifications provide a clock frequency of 1.127 MHz, since it increases up to 1,178 MHz as boost frequency clock. I have 2 Gbytes of memory GDDR5 clocked actual 7 GHz, combined with 128bit memory bus width. The data are identical to those of the reference design developed by NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960. Gigabyte also offers a mode by OC which the frequencies of the GPU were increased to 1,152 MHz and 1,203 MHz,
The cooling system adopted by Gigabyte provides a voluminous fan, which extends for almost the entire height of the card, mounted on a heat sink made of aluminum with copper heatpipes. The power is supplied by a single 6-pin connector, while at the present time is not yet known, the official price of this product.
