Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium: 4K HDR display and much more

Sony has officially announced a new smartphone series Xperia XZ2 that goes alongside the already outlined device of the family presented during the MWC 2018 in Barcelona.

First, let’s see how specifically we are talking about a product with a new display with form factor 16: 9 but that reaches the potential resolution of 4K or 3,840×2,160 pixels on a 5.8-inch panel that then exalts up to 765PPI. A record that Sony also decides to enhance with the addition of HDR thanks to X-Reality technology.
The display is not the only novelty on the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium because at the rear, we count not one but two cameras that are called Motion Eye Dual and that see the presence of a 19MPx sensor with Exmor RS from 1/2.3″ and optics consisting of 7 lenses with f/1.8 focal aperture.
Added to this is a 12 MPx sensor with ” Black & White “ features and technical specs such as focal aperture of f/1.6 and sensor equal to 1/2.3 “,a potential that also uses the new ISP AUBE, ie the capable component to merge data from the two sensors in real time.
If for the photos and videos it is even possible to reach ISO values of 51,200 and 12,800 respectively, here in the videos we can get top performances thanks to the Super Slow Motion at 960 fps in Full HD. Also new is the front cam that sees the presence of a 13MPx sensor capable of obtaining focal aperture from f/2.0 with the flash built into the display.
For the rest we have what we saw with the Sony Xperia XZ2 with dimensions that increase slightly with 158 x 80 x 11.9 mm and a good 236 grams. Unfortunately no price available for this Xperia XZ2 Premium which will be available in the Chrome Black and Silver Chrome colors presumably within the summer period.
