The American Corsair announces new DDR4 memories up to 128 Gbytes of capacity per kit, to be combined with desktop platforms for enthusiast users based on chipset Intel X99 and Z70.
Corsair has announced the availability of new memory kits for systems compatible with the standard DDR4, characterized by the combination of high capacity and frequency of well in excess of that specific operation. These kits are designed to be combined with motherboards based on chipset Intel X99, capable of accommodating up to a maximum of 8 modules thanks to DDR4 quad channel controller.
The processors used in these platforms are those belonging to the Core i7 family Haswell-E, in versions up to a maximum of eight cores. Over the next months, we will see the debut of the CPU Core i7 family Broadwell-E, suggestion’s enthusiast band will continue to be matched to motherboards with the chipset Intel X99 and compatible with DDR4 quad channel memory kits.
The new proposals of the Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 family offer clock speeds that reach up to 3,000 MHz configuration up to 128 Gbytes of capacity. For these memories, the supply voltage is equal to 1.35V, with timings of 16-18-18-36.
Corsair also offers two new the specific Vengeance LPX family kits for platforms based on the chipset Intel Z170, then combined with processors Skylake family. In this case, the kits are dual channel, with a total of 4 memory modules and each capacity equal to 64 and 32 Gbytes. The first kit is capable of a maximum clock frequency of 3,333 MHz with timings of 16-18-18-36 and a supply voltage of 1.35V. Same voltage but timings carried 16-19-19-39 for 32 Gbytes memory kits, which reaches a maximum clock frequency of 3,600 MHz.
All these memories are equipped with an integrated cooling system of the passive type, in direct contact with the memories, and are matched to the Corsair Vengeance Airflow system that ensures adequate air around the memory modules. The prices in the North American market amounted to $1,174.99 for the version to 128 Gbytes, $549.99 for the 64 Gbytes, and $349.99 for the 32 Gbytes of capacity kit.
