Synology announces DiskStation DS715 and DS215+, NAS two new all-in-one designed to store, protect and share data at home and at work.
Synology has just unveiled the new DiskStation DS715 and DS215+, respectively a scalable NAS server comes with a quad-core processor and a 2-bay NAS server dual-core. Designed to provide NAS solutions all-in-one and compact, both servers are equipped with a hardware encryption engine to help SMEs to store, protect and share data securely.
With a quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM, DS715 delivers up to 216 MB/s read and 142 MB/s write. Powered by a dual-core CPU 1.4 GHz and 1 GB of RAM, instead Synology DS215+ offers superior performance, with speeds of 209 MB / s read and 139 MB / s write with Link Aggregation.
The Synology DS715 supports high availability technology that provides redundancy in the event of unexpected failure of network and ensures a smooth transition between the clustered servers for maximum reliability and resilience. It’s a solid server NVR that supports Surveillance Station and provides centralized management for the hosting and viewing of 30 IP cameras (900 FPS at 720p). Designed to grow with your business, it can scale up to 7 units when paired with an expansion unit DX513.
The Synology DS215+ instead, designed to facilitate the installation of hard drives, has a simplified design of the drive bays, support hot swap and dual Gigabit LAN with fail over support to ensure continuous service. Also, the two USB 3.0 ports to offer a higher data transmission and an eSATA port as an additional backup option outside.
The two operate NAS DiskStation Manager (DSM) operating system designed for this kind of devices that offers a wide range of applications, from the backup to the management of the network, as well as the business services needed for greater productivity at work.
