Toshiba renews the offer of internal SSD, announcing the availability of new Q300 and Q300 Pro models. Seven in all, with memory cuts that reach up to 1024 GB, all with flash memory technology to 15 nm.
Toshiba announces availability of new internal SSD 2.5″ belonging to the Q300 and Q300 Pro lines. Storage units that exploit the benefits of flash memory technology appreciable 15nm in terms of performance, power consumption and storage capacity reaches a maximum 1024 GB in the case of Q300 Pro line. Seven models in all with prices starting at $49.
The two product lines appeal to a well-defined target audience: the new SSD of the Q300 series are equipped with flash memory technology to 15nm 3-bit-per-cell TLC (triple-level-cell) and are intended primarily to interested consumer users to update your PC’s storage compartment with a solution that allows to exploit the advantages of SSDs, since the higher speed than that of traditional mechanical hard drives.
Those looking for even greater performance, namely those offered by typical workstation class systems – from professional, to the chart, to get to the most demanding gamer – may examine the models of the Q300 Pro range with flash technology to 15 nm memory 2- bits-per-cell TLC (multi-level-cell) which promise maximum speed of reading and writing random even higher.
As for the speed of data transfer, the premise backward compatibility with the SATA III interface (data-transfer transfer speeds of up to 6 Gbit/s), Toshiba declares a sequential write speeds up to 530 MB/s sequential read up to 550 MB/s.
The differences between the two product lines emerge when you switch to review the data reported on the maximum read and write speeds respectively equal to 92,000 random IOPS and 63,000 IOPS for Q300 Pro models and 87,000 IOPS and 83,000 IOPS for Q300 models.
Do not miss special measures introduced to improve the appearance and reliability of data protection, as a Patrol Read and QSBC Toshiba’s proprietary technology for the correction of errors in integrated Q300 Pro models.
Toshiba quantifies the MTTF 1,500,000, the average time before the onset of a fault, the SSD Q300 and Q300 Pro. All models are also equipped with native support NCQ, SMART and TRIM zeroing.
