Panasonic has announced the upcoming availability (we speak of the end of April) of a new convertible and armored: it’s Toughbook CF-MX4, designed to ensure continuous operation and aimed at executives, commercial, creative and all those professionals who are moving frequently to the work tool.
Toughbook CF-MX4 is equipped with Intel Core i5-5300U vPro fifth generation, with an operating frequency of 2.3 GHz (up to 2,9 GHz mode Turbo Boost), 4 GB or 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB SSD or 256 GB. The system is also equipped with IPS screen 12.5-inch Full HD technology featuring multi-touch capacitive 10 fingers. The system CF-MX4 is also the first model Toughbook with integrated stylus to take notes by hand.
With a weight of 1.14 kg and a thickness of 21mm, the new convertible armored Panasonic presents a chassis alloy UHD (composed of carbon and magnesium) for the area of the keyboard. The system is able to withstand knocks and scratches which normally are generated in the movements and is tested to withstand falls from 76 centimeters in height.
From the point of view of connectivity and expandability, Panasonic Toughbook CF-MX4 offers two USB 3.0 ports, HDMI and VGA, RJ45 network connector as well as an SD card reader that can be supported, optionally, by a reader of Smart Card. From Wireless 802.11a / b / g / n / ac and Bluetooth, and optional modules are Bluetooth and 4G LTE. Finally, a 2 megapixel camera in the display bezel to the operations of videoconferencing.
The Convertible provides up to 13 hours and is characterized by the presence of a removable battery with hot-swap technology to ensure uninterrupted operations. The new Toughbook CF-MX4 will be offered at a price starting around $2,264, excluding VAT, which will vary depending on configuration and additional options.
