TP-Link presents the new routers with Agile Config functionality
Agile Config is a new feature integrated in TP-Link routers that allows service providers to simplify configuration and customization operations, even remotely, with a view to containing costs.
TP-Link has introduced in its list three new routers: Archer VR1200v, Archer VR1210v and TL-WR850N. These are devices that service providers usually provide free-to-use to their customers and are designed to reduce configuration and customization costs.
Their strength is the Agile ACS technology, which enables functions such as automatic configuration, remote configuration, automatic firmware update and Dynamic Service Provisioning. Thanks to Agile ACS the providers can provide for the mass configuration of thousands of devices at the same time and, above all, to significantly save on-site assistance: even if the customer resets the device, it will not be necessary to have a physical intervention of the assistance, which will be able to solve the problem remotely.
TP-Link Archer VR1200v and Archer VR1210v
Archer VR1200v is currently one of the most-used routers by service providers. It supports the classic VDSL lines and FTTC connectivity, even if only up to 100 Mb/s, via the WAN port. As the name suggests, it supports the Wireless Dual Band AC1200.
Service providers will appreciate the multi-level administration functions, so as to separate the configuration options accessible by the user and those reserved for the telephone operator, which will have access to all the CPE (Customer Premise Equipment) parameters.
Archer VR1210v is the most advanced version, which allows to reach transfer speeds up to 300 Mb/s thanks to EVDSL support and the supervisor 35b profile. Wireless performance also improved thanks to the addition of MU-MIMO support.
TL-WR850N, the entry-level router of TP-Link
TL-WR850N is the cheapest among the new routers presented by TP-Link and offers 4 ethernet ports and wireless connectivity up to 300 Mb/s, as well as integrating all the functions of Agile ACS. It is a device with basic functions that providers can offer for domestic users or small offices.
