One of the growing trends in the music field is the return to vinyl by many fans; Sony unveils record player USB PS-HX500 thinking about them, offering the option to convert tracks in different formats including the high-definition DSD.
Many people, among music fans, to prefer listening experience guaranteed by a good vinyl record stored under appropriate conditions. The trend is growing, as evidenced by the fact that many artists to offer their albums in this format, to the face of the stream, the CD and the digital world everything.
Sony unveiled at CES in Las Vegas a new record player for premium, PS-HX500, the first in the world to convert the songs on vinyl in digital audio files WAVE but also DSD single or double rate (2.8 MHz / 1 bit, 5.6 MHz / 1 bit). The use of this format provides for the translation of the audio signal through delta-sigma modulation, as a sequence of individual bits at a sampling frequency of 2.8224 MHz (64 times the sampling frequency of an audio CD, 44,1 kHz). Among audiophiles, there are disputes on the effective yield of the format, but is not this an opportunity to discuss it, limiting ourselves to report the ability to perform a direct conversion with the new Sony record player.
Straight arm with built-in anti-slip regulation and a system for lowering and lifting, needle positioned in the central axis, flat cast aluminum with two-speed transmission belt and of course USB connection are some of the features worth mentioning.
