WD, four new NAS for experienced users and business
There are four new NAS from Western Digital, two belonging to the series My Cloud Expert and two to My Cloud Business, available in two models with two units and two to four.
Western Digital enriches their NAS lists by adding four new products that meet the growing demand for storage, management, protection and stream digital content by prosumers, creative professionals and small businesses. There are four NAS presented, two belonging to the family My Cloud Expert and two to My Cloud Business.
We begin to talk of My Cloud Expert: products presented are My Cloud EX2100 (two slots) and My Cloud EX4100 (four slots). The target is one of the photographers, video makers, graphic designers and other creative professionals who want to keep up with files of higher and higher dimensions. Hearts of these NAS are the dual-core Marvell ARMADA 385 and 388, respectively, for two and four units, with a quantity of RAM memory of 1 GB and 2 GB.
The maximum capacity of the model to 4 units is 24 TB, which is nothing but the sum of the capacities of up to 4 hard drives WD Red 6 GB each. With NAS Series My Cloud Business, besides being able to rely on the data encryption AES 256-bit, you can perform a full backup on another device My Cloud deployed elsewhere, or on third-party cloud services such as Amazon S3 and ElephantDrive. Users can take advantage of the one-touch copy button USB 3.0 to automatically copy data from an external USB storage device to the NAS.
Other uses are strictly business targets and iSCSI initiators, file replication and synchronization, integrated FTP, WebDAV server, SSH Shell, as well as support Microsoft Active Directory. In addition, there are redundancies enterprise which doubles power ports with fail-over, dual Gigabit Ethernet and UPS support. The series My Cloud Business also provides the possibility of expanding the RAM up to 6 GB.
My Cloud DL2100 is available without disks or in the three capacity of 4 TB, 8 TB or 12 TB. The My Cloud DL4100 is offered without disks or in the capacity of 8 TB, 16 TB or 24 TB. With Easy-Slide-Drive technology, customers My Cloud Business Series can install or replace disks in hot-swap in a few seconds, without the need for tools or special tools.
The warranty is three years for all models, as well as in common is the operating system WD My Cloud-derived Linux and using disks WD Red optimized for NAS.
