According to IHS Markit, users are increasingly interested in the advantages offered by portable monitors, so much so that global shipments grew by 46% in 2019. In 2020, shipments are expected to increase by a further 27%, also thanks to the entry of new players in this product offering.
From the analysis based on the main online retailers of Europe, the United States, the Middle East, and Africa, Asus was the number one in the sales of portable monitors for three consecutive years. The company focused on this type of solution in 2016 with the first portable USB monitor called MB168B.
In the following years, the manufacturer has enriched this sector with the world’s first USB Type-C portable monitor (MB169C+), and last year introduced ZenScreen Touch MB16AMT, the first multitouch (15.6-inch IPS with FHD resolution) with integrated battery.

It also weighs just 2.2 lbs and has an integrated battery that supports up to 3.5 hours of operation and supports fast charging for 120 minutes of use after an hour of charging.
